Dual release for Dark Autumn theme

Thanks to everyone who tried out Dark Autumn and provided feedback and bug reports, I finally got around to fix the issues and release the tested versions. I say versions because I am actually releasing two versions of Dark Autumn. Because of rapid development that goes on in the Habari land, some changes were made to SVN HEAD (a.k.a. Habari 0.6-alpha) that caused the 0.5 themes not to work with it. Today, I am releasing Dark Autumn 1.0 which is compatible with Habari 0.5, and Dark Autumn 1.1 which is compatible with Habari 0.6-alpha.

Browser Compatibility

Dark Autumn 1.0 and 1.1 has been tested on Firefox 2, Firefox 3, Safari 3 and Google Chrome. It was also briefly tested on IE7 and it seemed to be working. IE7 support is still considered experimental though. Dark Autumn was never tested on IE6 and will never be. Here's why.

Dark Autumn : A New Habari Theme

It has been a while since I started working on Dark Autumn. With the little time I had/have, it seemed to me that It would take me forever to finish it up. So I decided to release it as beta. The design is done from scratch by yours truly and evolved to a habari theme with the help of the constant encouragement by the friends at the Habari community. Thanks guys.

Themes for Habari

I never noticed that we have thirteen Habari themes until Christian wrote about it! Yeah, sure, other blogging engines have thousands and thousands of them. But I really doubt that any of those engines had more than 5 when they were at their earliest development stages (Habari now on version 0.4, developer review).

I'm thinking, pretty amazing ;)

Charcoal theme updated

Update: I have created a portfolio page for Charcoal that may contain more up to date information about the theme.

Update: I had the privilege to see Charcoal as a Habari system theme. This means that as of Habari 0.5, Charcoal is included in every Habari install.

I have committed version 0.4 of Charcoal to the habari-extras repository. Charcoal, in case you've not hear of it, is a theme project for Habari that I started a couple of months ago and work on as much as I can. It was my first web design made from scratch, and to my surprise, it looked really good when it was finished.
