About
About me
Hello. My name is Ali. I’m a web developer living in Melbourne, Australia.
I’m an avid Mac user and an all-around Apple® fan. I enjoy hacking,
reading, watching movies and gaming (Especially if it was an
Assassin’s Creed title or Skyrim).
I wrote and executed my first line of code on my first computer when I was 11
years old and since then, I never stopped programming. I’ve since had the
chance to play with many programming languages (most of which are now obsolete),
but these day I write my code in PHP and ruby full time.
When not writing code or playing with a new programming language, I spend the
little more spare time I have playing with electronics (mostly
Arduino-based circuitry), reading or
geeking out
for some new gadget or app.
Before becoming a web developer, I worked as a
SysAdmin for about 6 years.
I am not an artist but I have a real passion for visual art I am a fan of minimalistic design.
You can follow me on twitter here and you can email me at ali@awhitebox.com.
About this site
This site is still a work in progress. So you shouldn’t be surprised to see quirky looking whitespace, crazy upside-down hacks, and —shudder— broken semantics. A relatively long, redesign-announcement-esuqe toned post is obviously due. But until I do write such post, I should give a little credit to some technologies, goodies and people who made relaunching this site fun again. List is in no particular order.
The compiler and the source for this site are both shared on Github.
